All our KVM Root Server offers are based on a Fair-Use concept regarding traffic consumption.
This is intended to ensure that there is no overload on our host systems
and customers have access to the services they ordered.
BERO HOST does not set a general limit on traffic consumption. Once a significant exceedance of the traffic consumption of an average BERO HOST customer is reached, support is informed to investigate the reasons for high traffic consumption. In this case, BERO HOST may exclude the customer from the offer if they do not cooperate.
Since no customer should be neglected, and every customer should have access to the paid service at all times, we prohibit the use of very resource-intensive applications, such as Bitcoin miners. If a very high CPU load is observed on the server, support will be contacted to learn more about the load.
In this case, BERO HOST may exclude the customer from the offer if they do not cooperate.
This regulation also applies to the bandwidth of the KVM Root Server. To ensure adequate bandwidth is available to each customer, individual servers may be stopped by our system if there's a suspicion of an outgoing DDoS attack or excessive use of the booked service.
This regulation only applies in cases of very conspicuous and very high overuse of bandwidth. We only use SSD drives from reputable manufacturers in our systems, which are specifically developed for server operation. However, a constant write speed of the hardware can never be guaranteed. The access times of SSDs are significantly faster than those of conventional HDD or SAS drives.
